2001 Tardieu Laurent Hermitage Blanc

I do not drink many white wines. If I did I would drink more wines like the Tardieu Laurent Hermitage. The wine exhibits complexity of minerality, melon and safron. This is not a formulaic buttery, oakey, smokey chardonnay - and that is why I love it. The finish is especially delicious with Maryland Lump Crab cakes, Beet and Asparagus salad with pistachios, and a pink peppercorn bouillabaise. 92 points - worthy of a fantastic sister-in-law dinner.
